New Marketing Manager Announced
SPRINGFIELD -- The Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) announces the appointment of Katlyn Puclik-Baker as the new Marketing Manager.
Since August 2015, Puclik-Baker has served as the Development & Marketing Manager for the non-profit organization, Girls on the Run of Central Illinois.
Ms. Puclik-Baker is a Springfield native and established a love for agriculture early on through her love of horses. Puclik-Baker obtained her Bachelor’s degree in agribusiness at Western Illinois University. Additionally, she was a member of the WIU equestrian show team and Sigma Alpha; a professional agriculture sorority.
Following her graduation from WIU, Puclik-Baker interned at the University of Arkansas animal science program in Fayetteville, Arkansas. According to Puclik-Baker; “My time in Arkansas was truly a wonderful experience and the lessons learned will guide me into the future.”
Additionally, Puclik-Baker is a 2017 graduate of the Leadership Springfield program through The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce. Puclik-Baker said, “I am truly thankful and excited for this opportunity. I am confident my agriculture education and non-agriculture background will assist me in connecting with producers and consumers.”
Katlyn lives on small acreage outside of Springfield with her husband, Kyle, three dogs, four cats and two horses.
“Katlyn’s strong experience in marketing will elevate IPPA and make her an asset to team pork,” says Jennifer Tirey, Executive Director. Ms. Puclik-Baker will begin her role with IPPA on June 5, 2017.
The Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) represents more than 2,000 pork producers throughout Illinois and the Illinois pork industry, which contributes more than $1.8 billion and more than 10,500 jobs to the state’s economy. IPPA is comprised of county pork producer groups in approximately 20 counties throughout Illinois. IPPA is an affiliate of the National Pork Producers Council and the National Pork Board.
