Support of a strong professional organization to combat the many challenges facing pork producers.

In 2002, IPPA initiated a statewide membership program to better serve pork producers in Illinois, while generating non-checkoff revenue for work on legislative and regulatory issues. The membership program allows all segments of the pork industry to be involved and includes seven membership categories.

• Producers
• Contract Producers
• Employees of pork production operations
• Allied Industry – individuals directly connected to the pork industry
• Organization – an organization with an interest in pork production
• Associate – a person with an interest in the pork industry
• Youth – ages 13-23, as long as a full-time student
