2013 Scholarship Applications
IPPA Scholarship Application
These scholarships will be awarded to a total of nine students through the IPPA Scholarship program. The scholarships will be awarded as follows: Three Gold Scholarships at $2,000 each; Three Silver Scholarships at $1,500 each; Three Bronze Scholarships at $1,000 each. Funding for these scholarships is made possible through the Keppy Foundation.
Applicants must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or be enrolling to begin in the Fall of 2013 to be eligible. IPPA Scholarships are open to students pursuing any undergraduate degree at any two-year or four-year college.
Previous winners may apply for any scholarship level. Applicants must submit a completed application form, transcripts; and a list of activities. In addition applicants must submit a typed essay identifying how they plan to contribute to the pork industry.

Ryan & Friends Scholarship Application
The Illinois Purebred Swine Council is sponsoring the Ryan & Friends Scholarship. This scholarship will award a total of four - $500 scholarships. Applicants must be attending a university, college, or community college for the 2013 Fall semester. Applicants must also have been a 4-H or FFA member.
Students applying for the Ryan and Friends Scholarship must complete an application form and a typed essay identifying the reason they want to pursue a career in production agriculture, as well as provide transcripts, list of achievements & activities, and statement of financial need. Top applicants will be called in for interviews by the Ryan & Friends Scholarship committee.

Adam Fesser Scholarship
The Mid-Illinois Pork Producers Association is sponsoring the Adam Fesser Scholarship. This scholarship will be for $1,000. Applicants must be attending a university, college, or community college for the 2013 Fall semester. Applicants must also have been a 4-H or FFA member and an Illinois resident.
Students applying for the Adam Fesser Scholarship must complete an application form and a typed essay identifying the reason they want to pursue a career in agriculture, as well as provide transcripts, list of achievements & activities, and statement of financial need. Applications will be reviewed by the Adam Fesser Scholarship Committee to determine the winner.

2013 Youth Ambassador Forms
The purpose of the County Pork Ambassador program is to provide an opportunity for young people to serve as youth spokespersons for their county pork producer organizations. The program gives youth interested in the pork industry an opportunity to interact with pork producers and others in the industry, learn about the industry, promote pork and make valuable contacts for future college and career opportunities. County Ambassadors will be asked to turn in activity cards after participating in events throughout the year. At the conclusion of the year, those ambassadors who have turned in at least 5 activity cards will receive $100 and the ambassador with the most activities will be named the Outstanding County Pork Ambassador and receive $500. The purpose of the Illinois Pork Ambassador/Intern Program is to provide an opportunity for a young person to serve for one year as the official youth representative of the Illinois Pork Producers Association and to work as a part of the IPPA staff during the summer of the year. This internship will gain you valuable work experience in an office setting not to mention time spent on the road traveling to several functions promoting the producers and the product of the Illinois pork industry. Applicants must be between 18 and 23 years old, a member of the Illinois Pork Producers Association and have a genuine interest in the pork industry. The Illinois Pork Ambassador will be asked to work at least 35-40 hours per week during the summer and will be compensated with a $500/month living stipend and a $2,500 scholarship from IPPA after successfully completing the internship.
