David currently holds the position of Illinois Farm Bureau Liaison for the IPPA board and has since 2011. He is also a past District 7 Director (elected in 2009).
He is a retired hog farmer, but still has 1,650 acres that he farms. He is a fourth generation farmer and the land has been in his family for over 100 years, making it a centennial farm.
David, and his wife, Deborah have been married for 35 years. They have three children (two of which are married) and three grandchildren.
He currently serves on the Illinois Farm Bureau and Country Board of Directors, is an active Farm Bureau member, and a township trustee. He is also a former school board member and past advisory committee member of his church.
